Im trying to delete windows 98 and xp off my computer,I know its c:\win98 something?

It'd be better for you to back up anything you want to keep on CD then format the drive.





Windows installs to c:\windows\ by default


but then also uses program files


and other directories.

wait...verify that you backed up important documents,


and you have installer cd's and boot floppy for both (if needed)


both should be c:\ or (drive) \windows...





neither should be on same drive/partition cause of formatting,

Reply:how many operating systems have you got anyway ????????? If ya delete em whatcha gonna use? Sure, go and reformatt your hard drive and that'll get rid of em. The question doesn't make any sense ta me.
