Do the Y!A mods delete your question b/c they just find it offensive or b/c it is against the rules??

They deleted a question of mine because "it was against the rules". It was not. I think that they just didn't like it.

Do the Y!A mods delete your question b/c they just find it offensive or b/c it is against the rules??
If you told us the question we could debate if we agree it was aganist the rules or if we think you were treated unfairly.
Reply:they delete it because it offends them . like one time i asked why do hot girls in clubs always bring a fat friend.
Reply:Anyone can have a question or answer deleted. You just have to report it, and it'll get taken away. Many people report things they dont like, even if they dont necessarily break the rules.

If you think your question was deleted inappropriately, you can contact Y!A Customer Care and explain your case. They might give the points back.
Reply:yes they do
Reply:i feel ya. Its not really life or death, but it tends to get a little nerve-wracking.
Reply:They deleted one of my answers that got chosen as the "best answer" and they took my points away too. Supposedly cause I was solicitating according to them which is totally BS. I appealed their decision because it was bogus to begin with but the so called representative that responded to my appeal still couldn't give me a straight forward answer nor did he in any way mentioned anything about the answer I posted and supposedly I broke a guideline with. The way I answered this particular question was something I have seen many other people answer questions before and they still do, I don't understand why they chose to do this to me. I was so p*ssed but I just let it go cause they s**k and anything I appeal them with it will still not change their minds once it's made that's their final decision.
Reply:They check it but you can tell them the reason you disagree.
Reply:they do that to some questions

can you please answer

Reply:One thing to understand is that Yahoo Answers team isn't necessarily the one who deletes our questions and/or answers. Y!A's FAQ says that a question or answer will be removed if it's reported by one or more "reliable users." If the circumstance is more serious then the Answers staff may remove a question or answer themselves after reviewing it. However, the majority of the time they're just automatically removed and violation notices are issued, because of the way the Y!A system is designed. I personally feel the whole reporting/violation system needs to be changed because innocent questions and answers will be reported/removed while others, that are extremely offensive, are left alone. PLUS, I know that there are waaaaaay too many trolls disguised as "reliable users" who are out to get other users they don't like by wrongfully reporting them.

Furthermore, people who state their opinions are being reported as well. And Y!A says that having a strong opinion is NOT a justifiable reason for reporting someone. They just ask that users "do not use slurs to refer to groups of people, do not insult other members, and do not act in a belligerent manner towards others" when stating their opinions. Unfortunately other users still do report opinionated questions or answers regardless of the fact that they don't violate any of the community guidelines. This is EXTREMELY frustrating because honest Y!A users shouldn't have to pay the price for report happy trolls!
Reply:I'm sure there's more than a little subjectivity in the judgment process.
Reply:It's their opinion against yours. Most likely, you did break the rules, and you were not aware of it. Refer to this page for more information:
