I cant delete the partition c how can i delete it?!?

I am guessing your reinstalling your OS. In order to delete and recreate the partition you have to boot from the installation CD on startup. If you load windows and then run the CD, you are using that partition so it wont let you delete it.

I cant delete the partition c how can i delete it?!?
If you delete partition c: every thing on your computer will be gone. if it is OK with you right click on my computer then click on manage then go to the left click on disk management, when the menu opens right click on partition c: and click delete volume.
Reply:You can't delete C: from C:. Try using a floppy disk with the format command to format C:.
Reply:You can use a Windows XP CD, you just put the CD in your CD-ROM and restart the system, boot from the CD and when it lists options to choose, choose the repair option, it will then ask you for which windows partition you want to use, its usually 1 and you just type 1 then enter. You will then enter your administrator password which is usually blank. Then type diskpart. it will then give you options on what partitions you want to delete, or create RAW partitions.
Reply:if u trying to delete partition from within windows it will not happen , that is like trying to cut the same branch ur sitting on ..

if u want to re-install then many have answered ur question
Reply:Down load the hard drive mfgrs software utilities from their web site (its free) to a 31/2 floppy.Set your 31/2 to boot first in bios/insert disk/ save and exit / It will then boot to your a: drive and follow the very simple instructions to delete partition / format /create partition / format. You do realize that deleting the C partition will deny you access to your operating system.Your operating system and All software will have to be reinstalled
