Emptying the recycling bin doesnt work I tried dragging them to the folder that they originated from as well. They are on the desktop and in the folder.. Please help me!
I have accidently created a shortcut for 50 pictures on my desktop. How do I delete the s.c.?
When you drag them to the folder, you're copying the shortcut. You should be able to delete them by selecting them all (or individually) - and hitting the delete key, right-clicking and hitting delete or whatever.
If you really mean that they're in the recycle bin and you can't get rid of them, you should probably do a disk check. Go to "My Computer" and right-click on your drive C: -%26gt; go to properties -%26gt; tools and run the error check. You may have to restart your computer for it to finish.
Reply:Right click on the icon and choose delete.
Reply:You can delete multiple shortcuts with the following steps, considering you are running Windows XP with the command.com settings untempered with.
1) Click Start-%26gt;Run and type/hit enter: command
2) A black box should pop up, and it should say:
C:\docume~1\USRNAME%26gt;
Where USRNAME is your log on username.
3) Type/hit enter: cd Desktop
4) Type/hit enter: del *.lnk
NOTE! This will remove all shortcuts on your desktop.
If you have shortcuts you use on the desktop, you should back them up in a seperate folder, before attempting this.
Reply:select them and press shift+delete. that should take care of it.
Reply:Restart your computer
then try it.
