my oulook express is messed up and I can't figure it out. So I was going to delete everything and start over again.
How do I delete everyhting on hard drive c?
Well...once you UNINSTALL what you don't want, you could reformat your drive c, but then Windows, or whatever you run, will have to be reinstalled, as well as everything else. This is extreme.
I suggest UNINSTALLING Outlook Express, rebooting, defragging, rebooting, reinstalling.
Reply:well i dont know sorry.
Reply:if ur windows r installed on C drive then d only option is to format it with the help of some bootable disk
else right click on d drive icon in My Computer and click on Format.
Now u have it so shoot 4 it
Reply:just for out look express doing all this is a bad.just reinstall it or just reinstall the os.if ur using xp then restore to a point where u remembered it was working.
Reply:change your BIOS so you can boot off your CD ROm then boot off your XP CD , install XP and choose the format partition option
Reply:format c drive.
Reply:if u wanna delete everyting in c drive then means that u will delete windwos also ...
if u still wanna do it - go to command and promt--- by pressin f8 when the computer is booting .. then type format c:/q
then type yes ..
Reply:Don't do it. - You're using a shotgun to kill a mosquito. I would suggest posting your symtoms from Outlook Express first in this forum before taking such a big step.
If you really want to - go start, help and support, type format drive in the search, under MS Knowledge... it's answer 11. Print this out you will need it later.
Reply:Just go to: add/delete programs. from there select: add/delete windows components. UN check the outlook express. Once this is done the go back and check it, this will re-install outlook. If you try to reformat your computer and have no idea how to do it you can destroy your hard drive, I would not suggest doing this unless your positive you know how.
Reply:Do not delete everything for one screwed up program that is called overkill. Reformatting a hard drive should only be used if is really screwed up, like it will not load Windows.
Instead try re installing outlook or going to the windows updated site for patches that could fix the program. You can also try "System Restore" I use it when ever my computer is screwed up.
Reply:Remove all your programs from Add/Remove programs (in the control panel), and format the c drive.
