It depends on the programs. If it is a Windows base program, one on which Windows depends to operate your PC, and the error is causing you to not be able to boot correctly, then you need to boot from the WinXP disk and choose the repair option. If they are not Windows base programs, you have two options: 1.) simply re-install the program. It will overwrite the existing files, and will work like new. 2.) You can delete the programs... if they are in the Add/Remove programs list in your control panel, go that route. If they are not there, you should be able to manually delete them with no problem. Hope this helps. Message me if you have further questions.
Can i delete or remove C program files?then reload, puter saying, program files not found?
You can't remove a "C" file and have the computer reboot and complain about it. The OS doesn't use source files as executables.
You can remove program files which may or may not have been written in 'C'. If they are required by the operating system and it will complain about not being able to find the file.
Reply:Uhm no thats not a good idea.
If you want to remove programs the right way , go to CONTROL PANEL and use the ADD/REMOVE programs from there to appropriately remove software. You cant just delete that whole folder or else your computer will get messed up.
If you want to start fresh, then just reformat your computer.
To format your harddrive you will need to get a recovery disc or a Windows CD.
No boot disc is necessary unless you are trying to install Windows 95.
The recovery disc will usually come with your computer, if you dont have one, you will need to call your computer manufacturing company and order one.
The recovery disc and the windows CD will partition your harddrive and it will wipe out your memory and start from fresh.
Reply:First take a backup of whatever u want to delete %26amp; then format the regd area then reload ur data with the help of backup. If still problem persists call a software engineer.
Reply:Not a good idea. This will remove all your programs, and it seems you want to do this to fix it. Errors on the computer happen in the windows folder, not the program files.
Run anti-spyware tools, and generally perform system maintenance on it. (google for tips)
Don't go messing around too much unless you've backed up everything you might lose.
