How do I delete some screensavers to make room on my C drive?

Screensavers aren't going to be taking up too much space, usually something around a KB or two. So unless you haev thousands, I'd suggest finding something else to delete.

How do I delete some screensavers to make room on my C drive?
use ccleaner to tidy junk up...all the windows screensavers arent more than 2mb so wont change a lot......you may have installed some extra ones in which case find the in add/remove programs or under Programs and Features in vista
Reply:They are .scr files located in the Windows/system32 directory. As the previous answerer has said, they aren't usually very big so you'd have to delete a large number to have an impact on disc space. Try running a disk cleanup routine like CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/download

There are others available (all free):

Reply:Do a search for files that end in ".scr" Those are screen saver files and then delete them as you would any other file.

Have fun
Reply:You can't delete screensavers that easily. They are integrated into the system's display properties and it s very difficult to find the link that leads directly to the screensaver's file. Even with search, you still cannot gain access.

Besides, screensavers don't consume that much storage space. Each screensaver file consumes less than 100KB which shouldn't be of nobody's concern. If you want to free up storage space, may I suggest that you uninstall any programs or software which you no longer use and then defrag your hard disk. That way, not only would you free up storage space, you could also speed up the entire system. If you do manage to delete the screensavers, you'll only free up little space which seems quite pointless. You should uninstall the big programs which consumes more than 1MB or more.

Reply:Try to search for *.scr files in your system C drive if you want to delete your system inbuilt screen saver. If you install a screen saver from any other. Then remove screen saver from ADD\Remove option of your computer.
Reply:go to control panel and click the programs and soft wares section. and delete the unwanted programs from there.
