can i uninstall o/look express and re-install it. If so how do i do it?

Deleted Files.Dbx


2 a.In Explorer Tools/Folder Options/ view


uncheck show hidden files


.b In OE Tools/Options/Maintenance/Store folder


C:\Documents and Settings\abcdef\Local


Settings\Application Data


Delete the Deleted Files.Dbx folder.


3 Open deleted files folder.


Click the problem message.


Move to folder "Drafts"


Now empty the delete files folder.


Open the Drafts folder.


Check the contents of the message.


Delete any attachment ( may be virus infected.)


Delete the full text/ photos if any.


Now delete it.
Reply:Don't try this unless you have the Windows Installation CD with you (handy).


Click the Start (menu) of Your Windows.


Click Control Panel.


Click Add/Remove Programs.


Click Add/Remover Windows components.


Uncheck Outlook Express.


and complete the process by clicking next and finally finished.





Then restart your computer.





Follow the same process and this time add outlook express.
Reply:It is not possible to uninstall but if you note the details of your existing account an delete the account, you could then create an account with a different name but the same details. Before you do this you could save any other emails you wish to keep in a folder. The best way is to create an Old Emails folder in My Documents. When you start up using the new account you should be free of the offending email.
