No. Some burning software may need to verify the files on CD and compare them to the original. You need the original files in the hard drive. Once the CD is done verifying then you can remove them from the hard drive.

You can delete the files from C: drive, but, just a reminder here... If you will delete the files from your PC, and then the CD will break into pieces, or not working any more for whatever reason, you will might have some problems, because, by that time, you have deleted those files from your PC, right?





So, my suggestion is, if those files are really important, make 2 CDs, with the same folders and files, and keep those 2 CDs in 2 different places.

Reply:Yes you can. But if it contains the My Documents folder, you may not be able to delete it, also you could keep the subfolders and delete only files in them.
