Deleted c:/ partion in windows xp setup please help?

I have deleted my c:/ partion in the windows xp setup by accident,i did not format it only delete the partition.I had all my work and university work on it.Is there any way to recover it or recover just the files? i will fail uni otherwise.Please help Many thanjs

Have you tried doing a system restore? Or run your restore disk, it wont delete your work.
Reply:There may be a super-expensive program to do that, I know there is for failed HDDs, but my first thing to do would be Google it up!

Reply:First things first don't use the drive. The best option is to take the drive to a specialist for recovery but it can be expensive. Try ABC Data Recovery for a quote. The other thing that you can do is install the drive into a computer that is running Windows XP then you would need to run data recovery software such as R Studio. You will need to make sure that you do not save any files to the drive and also do not install anything on the drive until you have recovered what you need. There is no guarantee though that you will be able to recover it yourself and you will also risk loosing some files as you may need to format the drive before the software will pick it up.

I've said before what is the point of partitions? I've never had one and never have lost anything. If you just have one partition you can't delete it because the system can't delete it's self!





If you need extra storage stick in a another hard drive as a slave!

after that download a program called Recuva from Recuva.com and you can start recovering files you lost before from formating or deleting partitions
