If yu can't delete the file in the normal mode try booting to the safe mode. You may want to get AD-Aware it can clean most spyware and it's free. Also you may wont to check out gmer and catchme, they are rootkit revealers.





But I mus warn you if you have a rootkit it has proven for me to be less painful to backup my data and reload my system. Rootkits can be tricky and very harmful, more so then a virus.
Reply:Try Spybot and AVG antispyware these should get rid of it - you can download them free from www.download.com. So that you know the dangerous items when you are surfing the net I would download site adviser from McAfee and this will steer you away from the dodgy sites!

Reply:If something is that hard to delete you may have a problem on your hands, i would sugest you download spybot search %26amp; destroy, its free, also AVG antivirus (free version) and NOD32, hey sometimes the free ones are the best, nod32 catches alot of new viruses , not sure if that ones free though, and spybot and avg have saved my *** multiple times, PS Norton is a load of crap and will slow down your computer, just thought i would let you know about some of these if you already dident, but try the removal instructions the other person posted first, if not, get spybot search and destroy, totaly free, and always new updates
