I use Windows VISTA operating system. When I want to delete files I don't need anymore I have access denied.
How can I remove/delete program files from my C drive?
If you are the system administrator, you will be able to remove the file you don't need. Or you can change the file status by right click the file %26gt; Properties %26gt; then select the proper option check box.
Reply:Go to "Start", "Settings", "Control Panel", then "Programs", then "Uninstall program", and choose what you want to dump from that list. THEN go into your C drive, and eliminate the folder for the program.
Reply:start

Make sure you defrag your computer after.
to do this
right click on c drive
Click Properties
System tools
Defrag.
Reply:start%26gt;control panel%26gt;add/remove programs i haven't used vista but i'm sure its roughly the same as XP
Reply:Alright, it's pretty easy. Just go into the Add/Remove Programs in the control panel and uninstall the program...but this doesn't always get rid of all the files. So right click 'start' and click 'explore' Then click on your C-Drive and find the appropriate file...btw- MUST BE ADMINISTRATOR TO DO THIS
Reply:are you an administrator? limited users cant remove programs.
