Can i safely delete all files from C:\Documents and Settings\ User \Local Settings \Temp?
Yes, it is "safe" to delete these files. Many times, Disk Cleanup does not recover everything. The only problem that deleting these TEMPorary files is that--as was said before me--software puts files here to assist in un/installating of programs and such, and if you attempt to re-install these programs, they will take a bit longer. But the fact of the matter is that many times these files are useless and take up space unnecessarily after installation...

Shucks, even more common is the fact that these files aren't ever used again even if you do reinstall a program, for the script that is run when you click "Setup" or "Install" will extract all of these files again anyway. It would be nice if programmers gave you an option, which would make these temp files more useful, but hey, when I reinstall my programs, I like for all of the files to be fresh from the cabinet!

Go for it, partner...

Hope this helps...
Reply:just be care full what you delete! Report It

Reply:yes you can safely delete them.softwares create them as a part of their working.like a compressed software install package will first create the setup file(from the compressed file) in the temp folder and then run it.it may also be used to store images from the webpages you vist for faster loading the next time you visit the page.
