Deleting files from c drive?

I want to delete a folder from program files in the c drive. It only contains things that i don't use such as free trials of online services. is it ok to delete it even though it says that this is not safe to do?

Deleting files from c drive?
Make sure that before doing so, you have removed them from the control panel/add or remove programs section. If you have done that already then you should have no problems and could get rid of them.
Reply:Uninstall any programs installed in the directory first, then delete the directory.
Reply:1. Uninstall program in the control panel.

2. Have CCleaner installed and have it cleaned. (this helps because it identifies files that were already uninstalled.

3. Be careful in deleting files because it may be a critical file, deleting may stop program or stop internet connection (i did it before and i lost my internet connection).

4. If you accidentally deleted a critical part-

have it restored if it is still in the recycle bin.

or have a system restore (I once did it and it is successful).

5. If you're pretty sure, if already uninstalled and yet these files are yet found in your c drive or c/programs, you may delete, but don't totally delete so you can restore if later.

but if after a period (say 1 week), you may totally delete your files in the recycle bin).

These may help.
Reply:if it contains files that only you created yes it's safe
Reply:hello you ok ?

just be carefull if you do decide to remove certain program files because they can affect how various windows applications operate !.

the last thing you want to be doing is making your central registry corrupt and then needing to format and reload your current operating system.

just 1 final thing for you, whatever you do dont try using a registry cleaner because they can also affect your windows registry and eventually corrupt it then you will have to certainly format your hard drive and reload windows again.

if the files you are intending to remove are not causing any actual problems its sometimes best to leave them and not mess about in the central registry.

or if your computer desperately needs some major attention you could allways format and reload windows its just a matter of personal preference really how everyone sees the situation.

if you are going to ever format your hard drive and reload windows dont forget to backup any files before you do the format to avoid losing them.

good luck and happy computing everyone.

Reply:yes it is safe but you first have to unsintall the program before deleting anything.
