The more I delete the less free space I have, how do I get rid of the files in the media player?

I rarely use the media player unless an e-mail attachment goes directly there, never download any music or videos, never listen to the radio, why are there so many files there and how do I delete them to hopefully free up more space on C?? The more I delete out of Outlook express the less space I have?? I have defrag, disk, cleanup, emptied recycle, am down to 18%, have system restore at lowest level of restore points, added more RAM, what else is there to try, PLZ and TY.

The more I delete the less free space I have, how do I get rid of the files in the media player?
You may have to go to your C:, Documents/windows/temp folders and ctrl and delete all the files there.
Reply:Try searching for *.mpg, *.mpeg, *.avi, *.mp3 files and delete the ones you don't want. Also you mgiht want to try emptying your junk Folders that are built into windows. What version are you running and i can tell you where to find them.
Reply:you didn't say how large yer drive is, but you can look in add/remove and/or windows explorer in program files to see who the hog is. to delete files in media player just right click and choose delete.
