I have two hard drives I need to know how to format c drive?

the c drive is my local drive. and d is my spare drive. how can i format my c drive without deleting my operating system and drivers.

If C is the drive you're using you can't format it without losing everything.
Reply:you will lose everything on the c drive if you format that drive you may want to norton ghost c to d and then you still have a backup
Reply:ok frist have a windows disk 1.put the disk in drive shut down comp restart and make it "boot from disk (aka.windows)" and run full install and it will ask you if you want to format drive say yes. and if not 2. set the drive as a slave have lenix or some other os (windows) and selected format

Reply:Unfortunately there is no way to format a hard drive without losing all of the data on the drive. This is because a format is a physical reseting of each bit of data to zero. If a reformat is necessary it is advisable to acquire all drivers and burn them all to a disk before you reformat.
