How can i delete all traces?

my laptop broke so i got a loner from my school. they took my hard drive out and put it in the loner so i have all of my files and settings. my cousin came over to my house and looked at inappropriate material on my laptop unbeknownce to him that it was a loner and that i could get expelled. i ran a c-cleaner, deleted all cookies and temp internet files. is there anything else i should do? does it matter since its my hard drive?

How can i delete all traces?
Go back and re-run CCleaner with deletion set to Gutmann (35 passes).

Open CCleaner %26gt; Options %26gt; Settings. Where it says 'Secure Deletion,' tick "Secure File Deletion" and select Gutmann.

It will over-write everything 35 times. (Then you can set it back to normal.)
Reply:You have to perform a "secure delete" to remove information permanently. This is the only real way to erase information off of magnetic media. This works by encrypting the data and deleting it many times over until its nothing more than unreadable code. Shredding is another technique but not nearly as effective. Also. The US Dept of Defense endorse "secure delete" as the only way to permanently remove data. Check out this link.

Reply:when you get your back there just going to swap drives again so it doesnt matter
Reply:If you ran ccleaner with all the options on then you should be fine.
