Two win xp os in one pc. how can i delete one?
ok this is a easy fix

go to start - my computer - right click properties - advanced tab

under start up and recovery click the settings button - edit . make the box full screen u will see two entries like this

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WI... Windows XP Professiona

delete the one that says partition(2)

hit file . save , reboot your pc

problem fixed
Reply:Start %26gt; Run and type

msconfig

and hit enter. Click on the BOOT.INI tab and click the "Check All Boot Paths" button. If you have deleted one of the copies of Windows, it will remove the obsolete entry.
Reply:hi,

do this thing it will work out format drive d which has duplicate OS and then go to run and type C:/boot.ini

there the first line shown will be OS of C drive leave that line as it is it will be like this

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WI... Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

delete those lines that are after that then you will have no more issue's in booting the server
Reply:yah you did not delete the d drive in correct procedure. on thing you have to do . when you restart the computer on monitor yo saw two XP names and count down starts .if u press up arrow your xp open suppose if u press down arrow an message appears that some files missing. actually it should run but by mistake you delete the shared files .

so don't worry take the boot able CD . and try to format the c and d drive completely. boot able CD easily format the c and d drive completely.

freshly you can load XP in your c drive.
