How can I recuperate deleted information from "C:\My documents" folder? It is not in the recycle bin.

By error and ignorance, configuring a software it deleted all information from "C:\My documents" folder. This information is not in the "Recycle Bin". I did no find it in the "Recycle Bin".

How can I recuperate it? It is like 15 gigabites including my music, mi pictures, word, excell documents, etc.

Thanks a lot and best regards.

I'm not really sure how much would be left over from over 15 gigs of information... but you can try googling for tools like "undelete". Freeundelete 2.0 is the first one that comes up, and although I don't have too much experience with that one, I've tried a few others and they work ok. Don't expect miracles though. If that doesn't work, you might have to restore from backup. I completely turned backups off because I think they're stupid and take up too much space, but I hope you didn't. Good luck =/
Reply:To "recuperate" it...give it 2 aspirin and tell it to drink lots of fluids.

To "recover" it...try to use a 3rd party program like Norton "Unerase", which can recover most deleted files (you may have to enter the files first letter.
Reply:I would see if the computer was set up to do an automatic backup (weekly/monthly) and if it was, you'll have to revert back to the last time the machine was backed up. If not, there's not much else you can do.
