Reply:Have you used a clean-up program to remove temporary files and cookies? I do my daily.
Reply:Have you cleared your Temporary files? Cookies etc.
Reply:do first thing is cut some data on c drive and copy on another drive.that will give u a space.or zip some files.or do partition(exam.C and D) and install some software on another (partion D).
Reply:Let me asume that you use a Windows OS, and since you said "my drive C", I assume that you have other harddisks (or partitions on the harddisk).

First of all, you should know that if you have Windows XP, you'll need 0.5 to 1.0 GB of free space on the installation partition (typically, C) so that your windows run normally.

You can achieve more space on drive C by doing the following steps:

- You can re-partition your drive: if you have many partitions in the same harddisk, you may consider merging some of them into drive C, or even just resizing the pertitions. This process normally destroys all the data stored on the harddisk, so you might want to backup all the important data before doing this. some softwares might do this without losing data, but they are just nor guaranteed, and they might even destroy the HDD.

- You might want to install windows into some other drives (if there's anny drive who's larger than C).

- You might want to uninstall all the softwares installed on your PC, and reinstalling them on another partition (typically, you install them in the "custom" mode instead of the "Complete", or "Typical" mode, and then you choose where to install the software).

- You might want to change the location of "My Documents". you can do this by gright-clicking on the "My Documents" folder, then choose "Properties". Click on "Move", then specify the new location of your "My Documents" (The folder should be created before this process, you should select a folder in another drive, other that drive C). Click "OK", and you'll be asked if you want to move the files from your old "My Documents" into the new location, I think you should choose "Yes", so that you free some space on your C drive.

Good Luck ;)
Reply:Add an external disk to increase space for more data storage. Inquire from the computer store. I am sure they would be willing to help you out.
Reply:Ummm you can try defraging your computer as well as erasing temporary files and your cookies.
Reply:Dear nini beta,

You are still in ancient Zammana.why can you change you computer now all computer have 200 GB. and it cost less than the price which we brought our old computer.

if not possible to change PC buy a minimum 60 Gb hard disk and install in your Pc in Secondary port.(if you are in mumbai better buy from Laminton road in Grant road)
Reply:You should be able to compress some of the files to gain more disk space. I'm not sure what operating system you have and whether or not it has a disk compression program. If not, you can purchase an inexpensive one. However, hard drives are pretty darn cheap these days so you just might want to buy one. If you get an external one (which is a little more expensive then an internal one) you can very easily connect it to your computer.
Reply:Try compressing all unused photos/music into a zip file. This will increase your C disk space. Also, there may be some programs you feel you need, but don't necessarily use a lot. I'd delete them.

Try running virus scans, sometimes they can make your HD go crazy.

Also, if you have a file compression checker on your Antivirus, try that. This will compress files down quickly and easily.

The only other solution is to purchase a bigger HD.
Reply:If your hard drive is not very big, you might need to get a bigger one. What are the details of your system?
Reply:Buy a second hard drive or replace the one you have with a bigger one.

Reply:If you have windows XP go to control panel%26gt; system %26gt; system restore Tab%26gt; drive setting choose drive C and then press settings

Now move the slide to the left this will decrease the amount of space in system restore.

This is not recommended because it reduces the number of system restore point. but it will free some space

I think you can do the same thing with windows Me
